Welcome to the P5 blog, we are working together to share our learning and support each other in a positive, growth mindset manner.
This week we started by researching Space. We worked in pairs to take notes and next week we will be making leaflets about all the different things we discovered.
In French we learned how to ask and answer the question “Ou Habites-tu?” as well as doing Five a Day French.
With Mrs Tulloch we went outside to measure the distance from the sun to the different planets. This was tricky, however we perservered and worked together to complete the task- Go P5!
On Thursday we spent most of the day recreating a day in the life of a refugee. This was harder than we thought, the shelters were very tricky to make and not all of us managed to get inside one. We did have a great time though and it showed us how difficult it is when you have to leave your home. This is very relevant at the moment as we know that there are lots of people whose homes have been destroyed or damaged by Hurricane Irma.
Mrs Newton also set us a challenge to find out how hurricanes start, we did really well at this and we are hoping that Irma and Jose do not cause too much damage.
Next week we are going to revise our knowledge of fractions- we will be playing Scoot and Find the Fraction, spell tricky space words and make Dream Jars (Please remember we all need Jars for this) and take part in a live Roald Dahl Day.
Photo will be on Dojo over the weekend.
Have a great weekend.
P5 🙂
