In writing we have been making recipes for “Good Friends”. We all worked together to brainstorm our ideas of what “ingredients” would make a good friend. We came up with loads of interesting ideas including a dollop of kindness, a sprinkle of happiness, a teaspoon of resilience and a cup of helpfulness to name but a few. We then used these ideas to write a recipe to bake a good friend! The recipes produced were all very good and we are going to use these to remember what makes a good friend.
In Art we have been busy designing and drawing pictures of snowmen to decorate the hall for the Carols around the Christmas tree. We chose the snowman theme as it ties in with the song we will be singing about Frosty the Snowman. We have been learning the words to the song ready for our big performance next week.
In Maths we are continuing to work on our column addition, with the focus this week being on carrying forward a number. We are all getting much better at remembering to add on the carrying number and to keep our work neatly laid out in the correct place value columns.
