Welcome to primary 6A
In Literacy we listened to a story called Palmer and the Mermaid. It was about a kind fisherman called Palmer who found a mermaid and the mermaid gave him the powers of healing and finding things that were lost. Nine years later he had to go into the sea and find the mermaid. So we have written what we think about the characters and set a plan for rewriting the story next week. We also did Kung Fu punctuation.
In Numeracy we did rounding to the nearest 10, 100 and even 1000.We did multiplication and division and we had to colour squares in the answers on the blocks to find out the image that we had on our sheet. There was harder ones and easier ones and they both had different images on them.
We played lots of games in PE and health and wellbeing. One that we all really enjoyed was Boccia and we had two different groups and they both played. We had a blue and a red group and we ended up having a tie with 2 and a half. We got challenged to lots of hard ball games. We managed it but it was difficult.
In Science we talked about electricity and watched a few videos on facts about electricity and how it works, we talked about the dangers of it and we all shared some stories about electricity and how you can get a shock. We talked about electric fences and how to never go near them or touch them as they are highly dangerous, although we found out that it doesn’t harm the horses, it is just like us saying to them “don’t.”
Thank you for reading this week’s blog this was written by the blog crew for this week and P6A see you next week! J;)
