On Wednesday we took part in the Big Spell and showed our parents the different activities we do to help us learn our spelling words.
We also started our new topic which is a book study on “The Firework Maker’s Daughter”. We found out facts about the book and the author and made a prediction of what will happen in the story.
In Maths we took part in the BIG Maths challenge to improve our mental math and times table skills. We have also been revising our six and nine time’s tables and working on our addition skills.
We had our second “Rugby taster” sessions at Linlithgow Rugby Club. We learned how to throw, pass and catch the ball correctly. We are looking forward to going back next Tuesday.
In French we have been learning about the different parts of the body and played the game “head, shoulders, knees and toes” in French.
In Drama we read a section of the book “The Animals of Farthing Wood” and acted out a scene.
In our class novel entitled “School Ship Tobermory” Ben & Badger were travelling through the store room where they found another door which they went through. They found a girl called Tanya who had escaped from her Uncle and Aunt. She told them how she had escaped and how she got aboard the ship.
