On Monday in Maths we worked with our Learning Partners to try and solve the “Mystery of the Missing Reindeer Bells”. One of the naughty elves had hidden the beautiful shiny gold bells which decorate the reindeer’s harnesses. The reindeer cannot fly without them! We had to use all our maths problem solving skills to find the answers to the clues. By working through the clues and finding the correct answers we eventually found out that the culprit was an elf who wore a green hat, curly shoes, had brown hair, worked in the toy department and was called Neville. The bells have all been found and the reindeers are now all ready to help Santa delivery all his presents.
In the afternoon we joined P1 and P2 for a Big Winter Read. We listened to Miss Baillie reading “The Polar Bear Son” and we will be doing work about the story when we return after the holidays. Then when we returned to the classroom we learned how to make a Christmas “pop up card” with a polar bear inside.
On Thursday we had a fantastic time at our Christmas party and showed off our amazing dancing skills. At the end of the party we all enjoyed a nice ice-cream to help us cool down.
Then on Friday we took part in the “Christmas Carols around the Christmas Tree” by singing our song “Santa Clause is coming to Town”.
Have a lovely Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all back in The New Year.
