P4A Week beginning 29th October

It’s been Halloween this week and it was great to see so many pumpkins brought in on Monday. Well done to Maisie for winning the competition. This week:

  • In Maths we have been adding using mental methods including partitioning, hundred squares and number lines.
  • We wrote imaginative stories about a Scarecrow coming alive and we look forward to sharing these with parents at the open morning next Wednesday.
  • We learnt about the skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur.
  • In French we have been practising our numbers
  • We made a class poppy wreath in preparation for Remembrance Day.
  • We played some Halloween games during our PE lesson.
  • Some of us had great fun at the Halloween disco.
  • For reading this week we did ‘The Bubbling Cauldron’ a Halloween themed comprehension.
