Gala Day 2017 – Celebrating the 60’s for our 50th!
Well done to all who walked with the School on Saturday. Some grooovy outfits! It was a great day, very hot but great turn out.
Cluster K’Nex Challenge
A fantastic morning with Primary 6 pupils from all cluster schools coming together to take part in a Cluster K’Nex Challenge. The teams had to construct a wheelbarrow to carry a house brick through a challenging obstacle course. Â The wheelbarrows were all tested in the gym hall and the ‘ladder of doom’ ended the fate of many of them. All of the teams did a brilliant job and a huge well done to Winchburgh Primary who constructed the wheelbarrow which was the most successful.
Our team of master constructors and their model, well done boys.
Film Club
Our new film club has been up and running for a few weeks now and we’ve watched 3 very different film so far!
Our first was Beauty and the Beast, and it was interesting to compare it to the new version in cinemas. Â Our second was The Lego Movie – a very different type of animation. Â Our third movie was The Red Balloon – a French film from 1956. Â For many of us, it was the first time we had watched a foreign film, and one that was so old. Â It was really popular!
Achievement Assembly
We also had some visitors at our achievement assembly this week. Representatives from Cancer support and Guide Dogs came to collect their cheques from our Christmas Singalongs. What a great day of celebrating the achievements of the school.
Red Nose Day Assembly
Thank you to everyone who bought red noses and dressed up for Red Nose Day. P2/1 did a fantastic job of telling us all about Red Nose Day at assembly and told some wonderful jokes that made us all laugh! P2/1 shared that they raised an enormous £500 for red Nose Day, well done Linlithgow Primary.
Walk a Mile
This week some staff and pupils from school walked a mile for PJ. West Lothian College organised this event to support the family and raise awareness. We wish that we could have all gone along to show our support and how proud we are of PJ.
