Good morning Primary 3.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Thank you very much to all of the parents that have been in touch with me so far, I have loved receiving all of your photos and seeing the children again. It really cheers me up to see their smiling faces and the enjoyment of home learning. If you haven’t emailed me yet, please do so, I would love to hear/see how your children have been getting on.

Good morning Primary 3,

As you may know, it is VE Day today. As a sign of respect for those who fought in WW2, there will be a two minute silence at 11am. If we had been in school, this would be something we would have done in class.

I have included a powerpoint to explain VE day to the children: T2-H-4788-VE-Day-Powerpoint_ver_7

And a colouring sheet for the children to do if they would like to mark VE Day: t-tp-69696-ks1-ve-day-colouring-page

Here is today’s Maths sheets:

Good morning Primary 3,

I hope you are all well and have been enjoying the beautiful sunshine when you can.

Here is the Maths sheet I would like you to complete today. I would like you to watch the video link first to explain the task before you go on to complete it. Much like Mrs Love does in class, we go through what we are going to do as a whole class before we go to complete the task ourselves.

P3 Home Learning for Wednesday 6.5.20

Good morning Primary 3! I hope you had a lovely holiday weekend with your families. I just wanted to say that I was very impressed by your photos showing the wonderful work you are doing! Well done!

Below are your home learning tasks for today and the resources you will need to complete them:

Maths – Measuring in cms. Today’s activity is about ordering different lengths. For question 3, please choose five objects from home. Question 4 is a little bit trickier. Read the question carefully and take it step by step. You will need to use your knowledge of doubling and halving for this question! I have also included a measuring game to revise how we use a ruler to measure in cms. Please complete level 1.

Literacy – This week are revising capital letters, full stops and question marks. Please complete one of the differentiated activity sheets.

French – Revising the numbers 1-10 in French. Next week we will progress to numbers to 20. There are lots of fun songs on youtube to help you too.

RME – Story of the Good Samaritan. Design a poster to encourage others to be kind.

Primary 3 Maths

Good morning Primary 3,

Here are some maths sheets on ordering fractions on a number line which you were doing in your task yesterday.

t-n-6098-counting-in-fractions-number-line-activity-sheets-_ver_1

Look at what number the fractions start with and follow the pattern. Remember that when a fraction is complete e.g. 2/2 or 3/3 etc. It becomes a whole number. For example, 1, 1 1/2, 2, 2 1/2, 3 etc.

Monday is the May holiday and Tuesday is an in-service day, so enjoy the long weekend and I will post more work and a new learning grid to be completed next week.

I hope that you are all okay.

Keep safe and well.

Mrs Love
