Good morning,
I have been passed on this wonderful information from the staff at the Antonine Wall in Falkirk:
‘I wanted to just flag some resources in case you want to highlight them to pupils studying at home.’
- Via the website, pupils/ parents can download a free app that gives a virtual tour of key sites along the Antonine Wall. They can use this at home or families can take a walk to the open air, free sites in line with current social distancing advice, and use it on site. It’s available for android or ios and link is here: https://www.antoninewall.org/visiting-the-wall/download-the-app
- There is also a free digital game designed specifically for primary pupils which explores a reconstructed Roman fort and is available here: https://www.antoninewall.org/learning-centre/primary/digital-game
- I’m sure you’ll also have seen all of our downloadable worksheets and activities but just to summarise all are here: https://www.antoninewall.org/learning-centre/primary/downloadable-resources
- We also have a lot of objects from the Wall which we scanned and are available as 3D Sketchfab models here: https://sketchfab.com/HistoricEnvironmentScotland/collections/antonine-wall
Amazing resources for you to use at home to help support our Roman topic!
Kind regards,
Mrs Love
