What a busy few weeks Primary 2 have had since returning after the Easter holidays!
In maths we have been exploring multiplication using lots of practical materials. We also had our PATPAL afternoon where the children became the teachers for the day! They did an amazing job explaining what we do in numeracy. Thank you to all the parents who came along and supported us.
In PE we have been developing our skills in tennis and we also enjoyed a session of outdoor games in the playground. Last week we took part in the school’s SportaFUNd event and had a great time participating in all the fun activities.
In literacy we have been learning about the difference between statements and questions and have begun to learn about exclamation marks. We also started to look at typography and why authors use different types of print in their texts.
In health and wellbeing we have begun to consider the question ‘What does being healthy mean?’. We had some great discussion about why exercise is importance and the types of exercise we do to keep fit and healthy.
