P3 – Friday 22nd May

Happy Friday P3, hope you are all safe and well. I hope you are working through your learning packs prepared by Mrs Hillan. Did you take part in activities set by Mrs Stewart for Well- Being Wednesday? Mrs Morrison went for a long walk in the sunshine and was very tired afterwards!!

Science

Today, we are going to explore the link between predator and prey. Do you know what this might be? Have a listen to the song which explains the differences and then create a poster to show what you have learned.

Maths

We are continuing to learn about the different units of measurement. Today, we are going to focus on being able to recognise gram (g) on a scale. When might you use this skill in your daily lives? Have a look at the worksheet and then complete the task in your home learning jotter. You will need to use your addition skills to help you!

Deans Den- Tuesday 19th May

Happy Tuesday, hope you are all safe and well !! As we continue to spend more time at home, I thought we would look at different ways we can show acts of kindness. Can you think how people feel when you do something nice for them? Talk through your ideas with a grown up and then have a look at the different pictures I have attached and decide which pictures are displaying acts of kindness. Have fun!!

Deans Den- Friday 15th May

Good Morning all and I hope you have had a good week. Did you enjoy Well- being Wednesday? I am sure you might be missing our time together in Deans Den, especially snack time. I have found a recipe on Big Cook, Little Cook where they make crispy bricks for The Three Little Pigs! They sound delicious as they are made using marshmallows. Why not ask a grown up to help you make them? Yum, Yum!! Have a super weekend and I will check in with you all next week.

P3- Friday 15th May

Happy Friday!! Hope you are all safe and well and have been enjoying the different learning activities provided by Mrs Hillan and Mrs Lockhart. Today is International Families Day and whilst we can’t spend time with our extended families at the moment, I thought it would be a good opportunity to spend quality time with the grown ups in your house. Maybe you could go on a walk together, watch a movie or play a board game. The Morrison family like to play frustration and it can get quite competitive!!

Maths

This week we are going to explore the different units of weight. Can you think why this is important to learn and which jobs would use measurements such as kg and g? Read the powerpoint that explains different units of weight and I have  attached a challenge sheet, where you could bake something at home and record the different units of weights used. Enjoy!!

Deans Den- Tuesday 12th May

Good Morning!! I hope you are all safe and well and enjoying spending time with your family. Today, we are going to learn about what qualities make  a good friend? During group time, we talk a lot about being kind to one another, how ‘sharing is caring’ and how our actions might affect other people. I have attached an activity which shows children displaying friendly and unfriendly actions. Talk through the pictures with your grown up and then you could draw pictures of the different ways we can be kind to one another.
