Calderwood Compliments:

  • Leven Clan shared an exciting drama about their journey to Loch Ness, our clans and their families at Calderwood Connects. What a fun, engaging, creative performance, we loved your singing and dancing!
  • Congratulations to all our children who represented their clan by presenting their pitches at our Dragon’s Den – Be an Engineer Competition on Monday. Mrs Grieve, Mr Valentine (Numeracy Pedagogy Officer) and Nicola Connor (STEM Development Officer) really enjoyed being Dragons and found it very difficult to judge! Congratulations to our early, first and second level champions. Thank you to Miss Christie for organising this event.
  • There was a buzz around the school this week, as we welcomed our families and children to speak to their champions about their progress in learning. Thank you to our children in Primary 5-7 clans, who helped to support us.
  • Some of our children in Ben Lawers, took part in the West Lothian Euro Quiz this week! A huge well done to our three teams, and also to our parents who visited the clan to support them with their preparation.
  • This week we welcomed Miss Swift and baby Jack, and Mrs Love and baby Emma to Calderwood. Our clans loved their visit.
  • Last week Bluebell, Bramble and Thistle, visited Glasgow Science Centre, to put their STEM learning into context. Thank you to all the champions involved in planning this exciting experience for our children.
