Clan Changeover – Transition Challenge 2: Into …
It is almost time for Chapter 2 of Calderwood, after the summer holidays we will have our clan change over.

Congratulations to all the players who took part in this years basketball club at Calderwood. From taking part in the training to turning up to tournaments we are so proud of your effort, determination and teamwork.
We have celebrated some great moments this year; our first win as a team, getting through to the play-offs for the west lothian cup and individual moments of achievement.
Miss Quinn, Ms Morrison and Mrs Bryson are so impressed. We hope to see you back at the club again after the holidays or joining the high school team. We are also really looking forward to seeing plenty new faces in the new term too!
We had a lovely afternoon welcoming our soon to be P1 into Calderwood Primary School to meet their Clan and Champion! We hope you all enjoyed spending time in your new Clan room and meeting your Champion for August!
We have had a great couple of days welcoming our new Primary 1 families for our Teddy Bear’s Picnic.
Our Calderwood Chums set up activities to carry out with their buddies and snack bags were enjoyed by all.
This term, Ben Lomond and Ben Lawers have been taking part in the Circular Economy Challenge which is partnership with Young Enterprise Scotland. Pupils have developed their enterprising skills in a real-life context, giving them an understanding of the world of business, design and technology and have the opportunity to create a company, carry out market research, create a business plan and advertise their product or service with its own logo and tagline.
Last week, the Ben’s took part in a showcase event where each group pitched their business plan to a panel of judges. They were impressed with how knowledgeable and creative our young entrepreneurs were. Thank you to our wonderful judges for providing us with valuable feedback.

On Tuesday, Ben Lomond and Ben Lawers went on an exciting trip to Foxlake Adventures in Dunbar for a leavers’ trip. P7 worked on team building and resilience, while tackling the inflatable aqua park. We had a fantastic time and lots of fun! We would like to say a big thank you to Miss Stark for organising and our parent helper for accompanying us.
