On Wednesday 1st November, we attended the West Lothian Sportshall Athletics Competition at Craigswood Sports Centre. We took part in a number of different track and field events, competing against other Primary 7’s in the authority. The Bens put in a tremendous effort and showed resilience and sportsmanship!

Social Story: Meet the Champions
Thistle 2023/24
We have had a fantastic first few weeks getting to know each other in our new clan, creating our clan charter using the UNCRC Rights of a child, learning about the Emotion Works Cogs, doing some monster chalk drawing as part of our outdoor learning and playing thinking and strategy games & building Kapla towers to get our brains engaged and ready to go after a long summer holiday.
Welcome to Thistle Clan, we’re going to SMASH Primary 6 together.

Summer Social Story
To support our pupils over the summer holiday, here is a social story for the summer holidays.
If you require a visual calendar to support over the weeks, one has been created for July/August:
Well done Calderwood Knicks!
Mrs Morrison and Mrs Robertson were so proud of our super basketball team ‘Calderwood Knicks’ when they played in the silver playoffs on Friday 26th May. From only forming our teams in October, to now making it into the playoffs, is a huge achievement that they should be proud off. We came 6th in the silver league and got in some tremendous baskets – even some of the professional players were impressed! Well done to all of you, we cannot wait to see how Calderwood basketball teams develop next year!
