Calderwood Commitments
- 17/05/24 – 27/05/24: iPay open for C in the Park Ticket Order. In order for us to ensure we place enough orders for resources and foods, and that none of the resources are wasted, we do have a closing date of 27th May for tickets. Tickets should be ordered through iPay for the time slot you would like to attend, access to the outdoor activities runs for the full time. You can find out more about C in the Park here.

Calderwood Compliments:
- Glasgow Clan put on an excellent Connects all about Castles. They explained the features of a castle, the cost of armour and what food & dancing would have been like in the Great Hall. Well done Glasgow Clan
- This week we had visitors from West Lothian Council planning team and Ray Kirk, to look at the unique features of Calderwood Primary & Nursery and how they enhance the learning experience for our children.

Capturing Calderwood: Learning, Teaching & Assessment: May 2024
Recently we had a Capturing Calderwood Day, gathering evidence about learning, teaching and assessment. One of our pupil council children shared ‘Our champions help us feel our learning in our heart’.

- Clan Championships (Sports Day) information
- Clan structure for 2024/25: Next session the proposed clan structure is 24 clans at Calderwood Primary, this means that in the next academic year all clans will be hosted in the main building, with the cabins being used as communal learning spaces. For example the children have decided one of the cabins will be used as a recording studio for films, podcasts, etc. We will provide more information about this at the next Parent Council meeting.

- It is fantastic to see the sunny weather! Please ensure your child wears suncream before coming to school, and they might want to bring along a hat for when they are outdoors.

Calderwood Compliments:
- We had a fantastic Connects on Friday by Tummel Clan. They shared the very important message about ‘bucket filling’ and how rewarding it is to express daily kindness, appreciation, and love.
- Thistle and Schiehallion clans had a fantastic morning out at the West Calder Cross Country Event at Polbeth United pitches. They supported each other wonderfully and all children completed the race. To top off a brilliant morning, Calderwood Primary Boys were the winning team, coming first in the overall team event!
