Scottish Poetry Competition
At Calderwood we currently have a Scottish focus for learning. All clans will participate in a Scottish/Burns Poetry competition in clan. All children will be encouraged to participate in their own way – whether that is filmed, performed to their clan or to their champion on 26th January. The finalist will be put forward to a whole school competition on Friday 2nd February.
Please see below the options of poems the children can choose to learn.

It’s hard to believe that we have had our third Christmas together at Calderwood, time really does fly. As a community, we have achieved so much together in such a short space of time and I am forever grateful to our champions, for all they do, to make a difference for our children. Thank you to our families and the community for your continued support, it is greatly appreciated. I hope you all enjoy the holiday period and I can’t wait to see where 2024 takes us!
