Calderwood Nursery News-28.08.26
We are delighted to host our first Bookbug session at Calderwood Nursery on Wednesday 30th September from 10:00-11:00am.
“Bookbug is Scotland’s universal early years book gifting programme which supports families to read, sing, and play with their little ones from birth to give them the best start in life.” Our sessions provide our families with the opportunity to explore the Bookbug initiative where our nursery staff will model how to use and engage with the learning resources to support your child stories, songs and rhyme.
To ensure our sessions are successful, they will hold a maximum of 8 parents/carers. We will operate a first come first serve basis for our Bookbug events and an invitation will be given to attend. We have numerous sessions across the year to ensure families have further opportunities to attend.
Please sign up to the event by clicking here: Bookbug Sign-Up
We are delighted to share the term 1 and term 2 dates for our stay and play sessions at Calderwood Nursery. Our stay and play sessions provide you with the opportunity to attend our nursery setting to interact in play-based learning opportunities with your child. Our learning focus this term is numeracy and our stay and play sessions will allow you to participate in number and maths play contexts. We value the importance and vital role our families have in supporting the learning development of their child and this is demonstrated through our play and stay sessions.
The sessions will take place on the following dates and the following times:
21/09/26: 2:00pm-3:00pm
22/09/26: 10:30am-11:30am
23/09/26: 2:00pm-3:00pm
24/09/26: 10:30am-11:30am
