Calderwood Communication:
- Parent Council Fundraiser: Sponsorship Spectacular
- Road Safety: Our Parent Council have continued to look at our school Travel Plan and our safer routes to school approaches and have contacted our partners within Calderwood for support. Can we please remind families if you care choosing to drive to pick up/ drop off:
– Carnegie Court Car park is not for access to Calderwood Primary and Nursery
– Those accessing Calderwood Primary should not block the road access entrance (as you continue along Nethershiel Rd after the left turn onto Calderwood Road)
– A few messages from our Junior Road Safety Officers about the new yellow Zig-Zag line.
- Senior Leadership Team: You can find out more about our senior leadership team here. We welcome Miss Stark our Depute Head Teacher back from her maternity leave on 28th Like with all schools, in order to streamline our communication, each stage has an allocated member of the leadership team:
- Nursery: Mrs Warden (Principal Teacher)
- Primary 1 – 2 clans: Miss Quinn (Acting Principal Teacher)
- Primary 3 – 4 clans: Mr Docherty (Acting Principal Teacher)
- Primary 5 – 7 clans: Mrs Stark (Depute Head Teacher)
- Pupil absence: A reminder to families that it is their responsibility to please ensure they contact the school office by email (preferably) or phone by 9am to make us aware of their child’s absence. Unfortunately, we can have up to 30 unexplained absences in the morning which can put a large amount of workload unto our office champs. Failure to report an absence may result in an escalation to the safe arrivals team or a house visit.

Calderwood Compliments:
- A huge thank you to our Primary 7s for organising their amazing Fun Day at the end of term, everyone had a lot of fun. Thank you to everyone who donated so generously, they raised the huge sum of £2139.20, which will go towards the cost of their P7 leavers celebrations.
- Thank you to the parents and carers who supported with tidying up the playground at the end of last term, we really appreciate it.
- Leven, Rannoch and Tummel Showcased their learning this week to the families and special adults. We are very proud of their confidence and creativity.
- Thank you to Burns for their fantastic Connects this morning.
