  • We are currently evaluating the impact versus cost of Sumdog, currently there is no access and we will update with any decisions we make. Mr Allan will join us on 13th November, as a Calderwood teaching Champion and will take clans across the school for teachers non contact time.
  • Mrs McCormack has joined our champion team, helping us at break and lunch times.

Calderwood Construction:

  • During the week beginning Monday 6th November, Morrison Construction have advised that the steel frame for the new extension will be delivered. This exercise will take two weeks and will involve cranes, working within the building site, to support the frame being erected. This will be another exciting phase in the construction process and we know the children will be interested to see the frame of the extension taking shape so quickly.
  • We are looking into the traffic congestion issues with the contractors in the surrounding areas of the school. A reminder to families that there is no parking on the Nethershiel Road side of the school, from Monday there will be cones in this area showing where there is no access to parking. Also, as our staff finish their shifts at different times, we would ask if you are using the carpark that you park responsibly.
  • Thank you for your support at this time as our routines change, we are assessing our routines on a daily basis to ensure the safety of all.

Calderwood Compliments:

  • Thank you to our Parent Council for organising over first ever evening disco for our Primary 5-7 children. Also, thank you to all the helpers who came along to support the Primary 1-4 Halloween Parties. We really appreciate everyone’s support.
