As it is a new year, we are looking at healthy eating habits in Primary One. We learned about the eat well plate where we can see what we are supposed to eat and how much. We are to eat lots of vegetables, fruit, potatoes, rice, bread, pasta and cereal. We are to have some beans, meat, fish and eggs as well as some dairy products. We can have a bit of sugar each day but not too much!
In Social Studies, we have a mini Scottish topic. This week we learned about Scottish symbols. It was fun and our favourite symbol in Primary One is Nessie. We drew lots of pictures of her. We learned some new technology skills when we designed and weaved our own tartans for kilts. Watch for the photos in next week’s installment.
Until then, have a lovely weekend!
