Welcome back to Primary 4. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. This week, the class have asked they share some exciting news, but before we do, here’s some clues. Firstly, we’re all back ‘Into the groove‘ and everyone has been working hard, like it’s ‘9 till 5‘. Maths has been good this week, a little tricky and ‘Is always on my mind‘ .
If you guessed the answer ‘Music‘; well done!
The class have recently embarked upon a twelve week programme of study in relation to the Bronze Musicianship Award. This programme is designed to help the pupils develop their knowledge and understanding of musical concepts, such as pulse, rhythm, notation and pitch, through the use of engaging games. So far, we have looked at pulse and rhythm through the use of the following rhyme:
‘Pulse is a steady beat,
Feel it moving at your feet.
Always steady, keeping time,
Tap your feet and say this rhyme’
The class are extremely excited and motivated and more details will follow as the programme progresses.
