Maasai Mara – Osiligi Warriors

On Monday, we were treated to a visit from the Osiligi Maasai Mara warriors. They come from the village of Oleopolos and surrounding communities in Southern Kenya which is about thirty miles south of Nairobi.

The Osiligi warriors performed traditional and exciting Maasai tribal songs and dances as well as their world-famous Maasai jumping.  A few lucky pupils and staff even managed to join in with their jumping and singing! Since 2010, the group has worked in close association with a small UK charity called the Osiligi Charity Project which supports infrastructure improvements back in their local Kenyan community.
