Today the children may be asking you to help them with Yammer and Glow. don’t panic – it isn’t as scary as it sounds!

Yammer is how we will communicate with children if the school is forced to close because of bad weather. A letter and helpful guide has been sent home today – check your email inbox and your child’s bag to see the information.

We also discussed what rules we needed when using the discussion boards and the children came up with the following ideas:

• be kind, polite and positive at all times – if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all
• treat your Yammer page like a school jotter
• help your friends out by answering their questions and giving them feedback on their work
• only use polite and appropriate language
• only your class can see your work, but think before you write or post something

Ask your children about Yammer and Glow and help them sign up and join their class page.
