This week we had two very exciting trips outside of school, the first was to the Bo’ness Hippodrome and the second was to Bible World.
On Wednesday morning we went to see Fantastic Mr Fox at the Hippodrome in Bo’ness. This was to celebrate Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday. Wednesday was also the launch of the Into Film festival and they organised a guest speaker to read to us before the film started. This was no ordinary reading as we were read to in Scots. Hamish from the National Book Trust read the first two chapters of ‘Sleekit Mr Tod’ (Fantastic Mr Fox in Scots!). We really enjoyed the film, it was funny.
On Thursday morning we went to Bible World. The Bible World bus was parked at the Lanthorn community centre. On the bus we were split into groups and took part in different activities at the 6 stations. We learned a lot about the Bible and Christianity and again really enjoyed our trip.
Next week we are looking forward to starting our Christmas Fayre items.
