Bellsquarry Primary School

Primary 2

We had great fun performing our Minibeast assembly for pupils and parents. We sang enthusiastically and
learned our parts well. We also enjoyed wearing our minibeast headbands!
On Wednesday we had a super visit to Butterfly World and Vogrie Country Park. Kevin our guide told us lots of interesting facts about different minibeasts. We were allowed to hold a giant millipede, a snake and Charlotte the tarantula. We also saw leaf cutter ants and lots of beautiful butterflies.
Last week we released our eight Painted Lady butterflies in our school garden. Over the last few weeks we have watched them grow from tiny caterpillars, change into chrysalids and hatch out as butterflies.
