Bellsquarry Primary School

Primary 4’s amazing week

This week we have enjoyed the musical experience of Traveling by Tuba workshop, learned how to input data into a spreadsheet on the computer, planned for a water shortage emergency, taken part in our Vertical Learning Committee Groups, practiced using branch diagrams to help us sort data, and practiced our division and multiplication facts in maths.

In the Traveling by Tuba show we learned about instruments from around the world and got to have a go playing some of them. In the workshop we learned and performed a Spanish tango composition for the whole school. We learned to play maracas, various drums, scrapers, clangers, broomsticks and shakers. It was lots of fun: some of us found it easy, but keeping the rhythm when everyone was playing their own section was a bit more tricky.

We rounded off the week by watching the fantastic Burns celebration from the Primary 7 children.
