Bellsquarry Primary School

Primary 2

In science we have been brainstorming information we already know about the sun, moon and stars. Here are some examples of what the children said.

The stars are always there even when it`s light.
The sun is made of fire.
The sun is bigger than the earth.
The Earth spins but we don`t feel it.
The sun rises in the east.
The sun is a star.

We also thought about what we would like to find out.

To discover more facts
What happens to the sun when it gets dark?
What is it like on the moon?
Do planets move about?
Why do astronauts float in space?
