This week was our Orchard Focus Week.

We researched a Scottish apple and found out about where apples are grown throughout Scotland and the rest of the world.  We also drew realistic apples and coloured them in from the angle we saw the apple in front of us. We improved our peeling and chopping skills this week when we tasted different apples; we tasted Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Cox, Braeburn, Pink Ladies and Granny Smith.

We went to the Bellsquarry Orchard with P5 and played some team games with a ball and hoops, and then we went to the Bellsquarry Park.

We had fun preparing and performing ‘Maximus Mouse and the Edible Harvest’ play with P7 for the Harvest Service.

We are now very much long forward to our well earned October holiday.  We hope everyone has a great week and stays safe.
