Primary 5 Politics

Primary 5 have been learning all about elections this week. We learned what an election is, what constituency and candidate mean, what an MP is, when the general election was taking place, the names of the parties and party leaders involved, how a government is formed, how parliament works and how a law is made. We read, watched and discussed information on the CBBC website then spent some time looking at the election results.

There is lots of information on the following websites…

www, parliament.uk (Education tab then About Your Parliament)
