Bellsquarry Primary School

Larder Kitchen

This week we have been able to go on a trip to the local cookery school – The Larder Kitchen. We were separated into morning and afternoon groups for the visit so that there would be enough space and cookers for us to use. While we were there we made our own portions of chilli and some of us even had time to bake cheese scones. We had to put our knowledge of health and safety into practise and we also developed our cookery skills. We all really enjoyed our trip and were proud of the dishes we made.

Last term we were set the challenge of creating our own puppet shows based on the story of Nian (a traditional Chinese tale). This week we performed our puppet shows to Primary 5. We enjoyed working together and coordinating all of the different roles we had.
