P5 pupils have been learning about Creative Dance. We watched examples, such as Diversity, Twist and Pulse, Strictly Come Dancing clips, ballet and Stomp to get our imaginations working. In only 3 hours the pupils have been able to create short sequences that tell a story and include clear beginnings, endings and transitions. They also took the opportunity to perform in front of their classmates and provide and receive feedback for/from their peers. Over the next few weeks they will develop their groups and dances further to maximise pupil talents, make use of props, refine and perform longer sequences, make or add music to sequences and develop their performance skills.
