Bellsquarry Primary School

P3/2

P3/2 enjoyed the p.7 Burns Celebration assembly. The singing, acting, dancing and brass group were superb.

We learnt a little about Robbie Burns this week. We drew his house and discussed the differences between life today in Scotland and life in Burn’s time, 300 years ago. We listened to a poem called ” To a Mouse” and discovered that Burns loved all creatures very much.

On Thursday we enjoyed a special presentation from Lee. She works with the SSPCA and had some amazing stories to tell. She also brought some of the equipment she uses to catch and rescue poorly animals. The best bit about this was a few children were given a chance to try out the ropes, catchers, special gloves and helmet that she wears. Louie from P3 had to catch a badger very carefully with a special rope.!!!
