Bellsquarry Primary School

Primary 6

Money Week
During money week in Primary 6 we have been busy completing lots of activities.
We have been writing persuasively about whether we should save or spend our money. Most of us decided that it was better to save than to spend our money. We had to give reasons with examples to back them up to as to why we thought our side of the argument was the best.
Also we have been making foreign currency display posters for homework and we had to write facts about the currency we chose.
We designed our own currencies. We thought about what we wanted our currency to be called and what the notes and coins would look like.
In maths some of us have been adding amounts of money together and also rounding to the nearest pound. We also completed a pocket money task by planning a trip to the swimming pool. We had to budget our money carefully.
We have also been playing money related games. We hope everyone else has been having as much fun as we have in money week.
