Nursery Update
Getting outdoors in the Nursery
Challenge Club is back!
Challenge Club restarted today with lots of new excited members!
Our first task was to make geodesic domes using only cocktail sticks and jelly tots! We worked hard to cut the cocktail sticks to size and start to build up our domes. We learnt that geodesic domes are really strong structures made up of interlocking triangles. The pictures show our progress so far!
Research and presenting
We have been learning about minibeasts. On Tuesday we learnt about the life cycle of a butterfly. On Friday it was our turn to research the life cycle of another minibeast. We had to work in small groups to find the information using the internet and books. We then had to decide how to present the information to the class (say, write, make, do). The two choices groups went for were acting it out (do) and to create a poster (write). You can click on the links to see two of the videos.
