Travel Safely Update

This morning, the Travel Safely Group looked at the returned questionnaires.  We made a bar graph showing the most common ways to travel to school.  The children then decided to make leaflets for people who came by car, advising them to park safely and listing ‘Do’s and Don’ts’.  Another group of children wanted to remind cyclists of important points to consider when coming to school by bike.  We also worked on making a Travel Safely Charter which will be shared at an assembly.

Today at Science Club, we were making Water Beasties. We learned that water has a skin and we could float our Beasties on top. Sometimes they sank though! This was because they were made from paper. Amy’s Beastie had little feet and so she sank. Amy Mcdougall’s Beastie sank because she did the splits. Josie accidently knocked hers over and she ended up taking a bath! Ellie’s Beastie lost two legs! Sam and Brandon’s Beastie’s floated until the paper absorbed too much water. Well done!!!

Today was the last Science Club and all the boys and girls thought it was ‘minted!’
