We loved trying out the new trim trail. David said it was fun. Scot said it was super fun. Alasdair’s little brother Campbell had a go too! Ava’s mum had a good time.
We also enjoyed making Easter bonnets and buying some cakes at the Easter Fair. Abigail said, Louisa looks beautiful in her Easter bonnet.
We had a lovely time sharing our learning with our parents.  Cate is showing her Dad  our learning log.

Easter Extravaganza/Trim Trail Grand Opening

10 am- 12 noon
Our Trim Trail will be officially opened in playground at 10am sharp then
A coffee morning will be held in the school hall
Tea/ Coffee available ( donation )
Competition kids!!
Decorate an egg, create an Easter Bonnet or Bake an Easter Cake or do all three ( please detail name and class on all entries )
Competition Adults as well !!
Bake an Easter Cake/Cupcakes
The cakes will be raffled at the end of the day (but if you wish to keep your own cake please let us know).
All kids and Adult competition entries will be on Display.

Parents/Carers, families and friends are welcome to join us on Monday 23rd March for our Open Morning. 9 – 10.30am
– You child will share samples of learning, give you a tour of his/her classroom and of the displays in the open areas.
– We have the Scholastic Book Fair in school – feel free to browse through the range of books and stationery with your child. Â (Or on your own if you are looking for a special gift!) Â The Book Fair will be in school all week and you will be able to purchase books at the Parents Evening on Wednesday 25th too!
– Take time to browse through the display on Relationships, Parenthood and Sexual Health Education which will be ‘manned’ by Mrs Vest and Mrs Kurcik, who will be happy to answer your questions

The upper school classes were lucky enough to receive a visit today from Rong Rong MacLeod. Rong Rong was in to teach us all about Chinese New Year and Chinese culture. Â We got to make Chinese New Year cards, money envelopes, calendars and Chinese lanterns. Rong Rong also played the Pipa for us and we performed a lantern dance! Thank you Rong Rong for a lovely day!
 
 
GALA DAY VOTING IS OPEN!
Last week each class picked their favourite theme for the gala day, and the choices were revealed during Together Time today where most children voted for their preferred option – some are still needing time to think about this important decision!
Parents are now invited in to school to vote on their preferred choice. you will be able to find the ballot papers and voting box just outside the office.

We really enjoyed our Judo session with Marv. Kayla said ‘it was fantastic’. Aiden thought it was really, really good and wants to join the Judo club. 
We have started  our class talks ‘Me in a Box’. Adam and Natalie have already presented their talks to us. Alasdair said to Adam, ‘that was amazing’. Cate said, ‘Natalie’s talk was fantastic. We are looking forward to seeing the rest of the class present ‘Me in a Box’ next week
. 
A big thank you to all our amazing parents who came along to support the Football Club on Wednesday night. I suppose we should say a little well done to the ‘not very competitive’ parents who won all their games coming first. Well Done 🙂
We really enjoyed having you there and hope to see you again.
This week we have been; buying red noses (a lot), enjoying Judo taster sessions (so much fun), talking about World Book Day and sharing our favorite stories, finding out more about King Henry VIII, litter picking in the playground, practicing singing  for our Easter Service, learning about fractions in our maths, learning about proper nouns in our writing and practicing for the Handball Festival next week.
Thank you to all the parents who have been sending pounds in for Red Nose Day, we made a graph out of ours to show the most popular noses.
Finally … ask some ‘sensible’ children to take the litter picking photos and this is what you find on the camera roll …
