Handball

Well done to our schools Handball team. They have been a great inspiration in our school, working well as a team and motivating others. The team took part in the Whitburn cluster Handball League and finished second. This then secured Greenrigg a place in the Handball National Primary Championships with Whitdale Primary School. Well done to all pupils who participated, we were so proud of your sportsmanship, attitude and teamwork.

primary 7/6 rugby

Primary 7/6 have experienced some rugby coaching sessions in order to prepare them for their transition games at the High School during the transition week. On transition day one boy in particular was praised by the staff for the skill and talent he showed, well done Euian McWhir! well done to our girls, quite a few of them have discovered a new love for Rugby.

Healthy eating healthy minset

Primary 7/6 experienced food tasting in our Health Week. Thank you to Mrs Irvine, Mrs Hendry, Mrs Woodhouse and Miss Benson for preparing a variety of treats for us to try. We commend Primary 7/6 for their positive  mindset to this task and for trying most things. Some foods were very popular like mango and some not so popular like rhubarb, although the faces pulled when eating it were the best! Lots of pupils discovered a new love for muscles and smoked mackerel and re kindled their love of some fruits and vegetables. Well done boys and girls.

Jump for Joy

Primary 7/6 organised and ran a whole school Jump for Joy day. We raised money for the British Heart Foundation buy having a jump-a-thon. Each class in our generous school tagged in for a half hour jump. Thank you to the parents who came along and also has a go. We have raised a tremendous amount, over £700 so far and still counting. We will tally up the final amount this week and send off your amazing donations. We love our Greenrigg community.
