Primary 7/6 news

This last few weeks we have been getting organised for the school show Peter Pan. The children were a massive success and had a great time. With a lovely surprise at the end where the Primary 7’s were given their surprise leavers hoodies. It’s been lovely having the Primary 7’s back after their week at the Academy for transition. We have been enjoying the weather and having PE outdoors when ever we get the chance. Well done also to the Primary 6’s who did an excellent job of creating the scenery for the school show, it was amazing.

Our week so far in P7…

Today we had a French competition to see which table could match up the French cards to the English cards. Do you know what these sentences mean:

1. Je suis écossaise.

2. J’ai des yeux bleu

In topic this week we looked at main leaders, such as Hitler. We had a true or false class quiz. We found some of the questions tricky.

In music we planned what we were going to do, what chords to use and how fast and slow we needed our beat.

In PE we are learning about net games, in particular badminton. We are going to play doubles next week with the new skills we have learned.

P5/4 Volleyball

P5/4 have started volleyball in our PE. Ryan thought it was ‘amazing and good fun’. Cian thought that it was ‘off the hook’. Tyler thought it was different from anything he had ever played. We had a few games today and we want to say a special well done in their sporting skills to; Ryan Duncan, Emma McDougall and Scott Lamont. The Primary 5s really challenged themselves by working out a way to change positions while playing.
