Outdoor Learning – Fractions

Today P4W went outside to learn about fractions. We worked in groups and used sticks to split shapes into equal parts to show different fractions.

Today P4W visited the Dunblane Centre to take part in ”The Funky Sciene Show”. We watchced as Leigh created explosions, eruptions, fires and all sorts of exciting scientific demonstrations and experiments. Thank you Leigh for an exciting morning!

World Book Day 🌎 📖

On Thursday 1st March 2018 we will be celebrating World Book Day in School by encouraging all children to come to school dressed up as their favourite book character!

We will also spend this week completing different book related activities in class and holding whole school DEAR times! We’ve also asked the pupils to find and be photographed in the strangest place to read a book!

Primary 4 have been learning about daily life in Ancient Egypt. We learned that the Egyptians shaved off their hair and wore black wigs. We made our own wigs and Egyptian jewellery.

On Friday 15th December, P4W and P4N held a Christmas Fair for their parents and family members. – Haydn

We made crafts to sell. We decorated plates, we made French Christmas cards and calendars and we made reindeer dust. – Joseph

We made cakes to sell to our parents. They were truffles that looked like Christmas puddings. – Logan S.

We played games like pin the nose on Rudolph, guess how many sweets in the jar, guess the hare’s birthday, find the lost present. – Yuyang

Everyone had a different job to do. They were finance manager, managing director, marketing director, sales manager and production manager. I was the finance manager so I was in charge of the money. I had to work at the check out and charge the customers and give them change. – Jack
