Primary 1’s First Week at Woodhead
The boys and girls have enjoyed their first full week of Primary 1 at Woodhead. In Literacy we have been developing phonological awareness skills through singing nursery rhymes and playing rhyming games and activities.
In Numeracy we have enjoyed learning some stories and rhymes to help us remember numbers 1, 2 and 3 and have practised forming the numbers correctly using lots of different materials.
This term our topic is Fairyland. We have had lots of fun exploring and learning through play and we met Mrs Arthur who will teach us Art and French this year.
Homework diaries and folders have been given out for the week commencing 27th August. Please feel free to use the homework diary to communicate with us where necessary. Diaries are checked daily and homework can be completed over the course of the week and is collected on a Thursday.
