Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) Registrations – Online Registration Process


Registration week for ELC will take place between the 4 and 11 February 2022. The link to the online registration form along with a detailed registration guide for parents and carers will be found using the weblink below,  registration forms will only become available on the 4 February 2022.

Registration forms for new funded Early Learning and Childcare placements must be completed online by the parent/carer. The forms can be accessed on the web page below. There will be no paper forms. Any parents requiring support to complete applications online should be provided this at the setting or can request help from the central ELC team.

All new three year olds, even if they have a two year old placement, are required to complete an online registration form.
Children who already have a placement in a setting (likely to be four year olds) do not need to register again and their existing attendance pattern will continue. However, parents/carers should be given the opportunity to alter their existing pattern as many
families wish to increase hours for their pre-school year. If parents/carers wish to alter their pattern they should use the following link and complete the form.

Deferred Entry to Primary 1

Parents/carers of children who have not yet turned five by the first day of term will have an automatic right to defer the entry of their child into Primary 1. All parents/carers wishing to automatically defer their child, must complete the online deferred entry form
which can be found at:

Parents/ carers should discuss deferring their child’s entry with their Early Learning and Childcare setting and their desired primary school.
Deferred entry forms should be completed by 15 March in order to ensure the continuation of funded ELC in the parent/carers preferred setting.

Early Years operates from 8am-4pm, providing 1140hours of funded Early Learning and Child Care during term time.

8-8.45am is a breakfast club with primary pupils. Breakfast costs 50p per day and attendance is 50p per day

School lunch is provided and is free for Early Years children.
