Summer Fayre 2018

The weather may not have been especially kind, however the spirit and generosity of our school community (and beyond) more than made up for the lack of sunshine.

Music, competitions, raffles, tombolas, plants, coastguard, fire service, poetry, kishie maakin, jewellery making, stampin up, face painting, craft, archery, stilts, unicycles, bouncy castle AND teas – there was something for everyone!

Approximately £1300 raised!!

I have no idea how we are going to top it next year!!

Summer Fayre 2018

Preparations are well underway for our Annual Summer Fayre on Sunday 24th June.  We are hoping for a fine day of weather and a great turnout .  2pm-4.30pm

Car boot tables, toy tombola, bottle stall, raffle, assorted workshops, bouncy castle, stilts and unicycles, along with “Sunday Teas”.  What more could a body ask for?

Putting the FUN into FUNdraising!!  Photographs to follow.

On the day we should have demonstrations/workshops from Esme Wilcock making jewellery , Ewan Balfour making kishies Sharon White (poetry), knot tying with Ian Herridge (tbc), and glass painting for the bairns.

Our School “Website” is beginning to take shape – Blogs

Thank goodness for GLOW blogs!

Trying to maintain a website using Contribute was clunky, to say the least, so having been shown “how to” by Stephen Renwick I have taken the plunge and am in the process of setting up a more user friendly (and educational) version using a school blog.

I hope you enjoy having a look around.   Any suggestions for additions and improvements will be greatly appreciated.
