On Wednesday we had a fantastic treat. Some of our music instructors came to give us a taste of all the different instruments that are taught in schools in Shetland. Everyone had a lot of fun.

The enterprise groups are continuing to work hard on their projects and everything is starting to take shape ๐









What a fantastic afternoon to do the Voar Redd Up and wonderful to be able to do it as a whole school.


While the P7s were on their second John Muir day, the P6s had an afternoon of tree planting. Firstly we helped John to plant the Queenโs jubilee trees, then we took some willow cuttings and planted them and finally we potted up some sycamore seedlings to plant next year. Everyone worked very hard and weโre looking forward to seeing another area of woodland grow up





Yesterday we looked at equivalent fractions and what makes them equivalent. Today we learnt more about fractions and played fraction games.





It has been lovely to see everyone again. It has been great to have some nice weather too and to start out Enterprise project.Today the weather was so nice that we went outside for reading time and we started our fractions topic by drawing house fraction walls.
As an end of term treat, Ms Scanlan brought her newly hatched chicks into school today.
Everyone loved having a chance to hold them. We learnt how to hold them properly and to calm them down, so they were relaxed and their eyes were closing!
Last week Primary 6/7 took part in the Tending the Light festival of care.

The class made beautiful lighthouse pictures and mini lighthouses and we had also made battery powered lighthouses.

For the last two weeks Leighton and Conor have been practising their guitars and they made up this tune. We hope you enjoy it.
