Over the last few weeks, we have been looking at healthy eating. As part of this learning, we have looked at why handwashing is key to keeping healthy. We looked into this by investigating the rate of mold growth on bread which was not touched (control), touched with dirty hands and touched with washed hands. We were quite surprised with some of the growth on the clean hands bread which made us think of our own handwashing techniques! Take a look at our results.
In class, we have been looking at different forces. This week we have been looking at how air resistance impacts how objects move. We created parachutes for a Lego character and investigated how effective different shapes were at creating more air resistance. We had a lot of fun testing them out!
Archie regularly takes in photos and small pieces that he has crafted from wood, and we often marvel at how easy this comes to him. Today, he has brought in a chair that he has made, it is absolutely beautiful. It even has a detachable arm rest!
