Keynote

We have been learning how to use an app on our iPads called Keynote. Some very helpful P7 pupils came along to share their knowledge of Keynote and help us to create our presentations. As part of EU Code Week, we are going to take part in a live lesson using Keynote.

Understanding our emotions

In class, we have been thinking about all the different emotions we can experience. We worked in groups to think of strategies we can use to help us to cope with our emotions.  We realised that it is important to talk about how we are feeling and get support from people we trust.

Groupwork

We have had another busy week in P4. We are enjoying using our iPads and we are learning lots of new skills (teachers too!) Today, we did some problem solving in groups. We had to listen carefully, work together, take turns and make sure everyone was included. Mrs Belleville was very impressed with how well we worked together on this task. We will keep working on these skills in our groupwork 🙂

iPads!

P4s have all received their iPads today. It was very exciting! All passcodes have been changed to pupil birthdays (day/month/year) eg (020413)

Most pupils have a charger but unfortunately, we were a few short. Pupils who have an older sibling with an iPad may not have a charger yet. They should share the charger with their sibling but new chargers have been ordered & will be sent home as soon as possible.

Pupils should make sure they charger their iPads each night and bring them into school each day. 🙂

Back to School!

It was lovely to welcome everyone back to school last week. We thought about what makes each of us special and wrote special things about each other on ‘capes’ on our back. It was great to see all the comments when we took our capes off! We read a book called ‘Unstoppable Me!’  Which gave us ideas about how to be resilient.

Thank you!

Thank you so much to everyone in P3 for the lovely gifts & very generous voucher for Stobo Castle.  We have both really enjoyed this year & are very proud of how hard both classes have worked. We hope you all have a lovely summer holiday!

Robot Monsters

We have been working on length with Mrs Rand. We had fun in problem solving this week when we had to try create robot monsters using different heads, bodies and legs to work out how to make the tallest and shortest robots. Then we had to see how many different combinations we could make out of the various pieces.
