At the Gym this week…
Measuring in mm and cm 📐
I’m as tall as a… 🐒🐧🐘
In maths we have started a new topic, Measure.
What did you learn on Monday?
Sara: “We were learning about measure length.”
Mia: “I learned that we could measure lots of stuff. Some are hard some are easy.”
Something very important in this topic is using a ruler properly. Can you remember the rules for using a ruler?
Milosz: “That you don’t start at the beginning you start at the zero on the ruler.”
Louise: “Always put the zero at the start.”
The class worked in small groups to create an animal height chart.
Alan: “1 person held the start, 1 person was gluing in the animals, 1 person was drawing the line and the last person was holding the end.”
Chelsea: “We drew the chalk where the animal was.”
Leon: “We used a measuring tape to see where the animal was because the height was on the picture.”
I’m as tall as a…
Sara: “rhino”
Chelsea: “penguin”Alexander: “the penguin.”
Leon: “just at the rhino”
Dominik: “the rhino”
Kian: “a was over the penguin”
Emily: “I was as tall as a penguin.”
Sacrament Meeting ✝️
Respect Me Assembly – We are all Unique !
On Monday we talked about respect and how we all need different supports to succeed.
We watched a short clip about fairness.
We realised that we all don’t need the same in school to succeed. We compared school to medical care.
We decided that we would all try to live out our school values daily as this would help us to understand each other’s needs.
We now know that:

Nut Free Zone Reminder
We are a nut free zone as we have children with a severe nut allergy. I would ask for your co-operation and ensure that no nuts are brought in to school, please check all labels of your child’s snacks.
This includes chestnuts collected from the park, especially during this time of the year.
Please note that we are unable to accept birthday cakes to be shared out in class as there could be traces of nuts.
School Uniform
Apply for a school clothing grant – now £100 per eligible pupil.
