Training

As part of our Mental Health and Wellbeing Policy, we have created a resource which highlights training available for staff at baseline and informed level.  As training opens up and new offers become available, the resource will be updated.  To access, click here.

Training offers include:

  • What’s the Harm
  • LivingWorks START (online course), safeTALK and ASIST
  • CEOP Delegate Training
  • info regarding the new Scottish Government Mental Health and Wellbeing Professional Learning Resource

….and so much more!

For more information regarding training dates, keep up to date with the HWB newsletters.  Our colleagues from Choose Life are promoting a new Living Works e-learning course – START.  Click here to find out more.  The picture below will show you the progression of skills through START, safeTALK and ASIST.

The NHSGGC are offering a full suite of mental health training along with e-learning opportunities.

If you are interested in e-learning around suicide, the NHS offer a short course – Suicide Let’s Talk.  This will offer you a useful approach to talking about suicide and signposting people to professional help.

This page will be updated with any training opportunities available to Renfrewshire Council staff.   For further information, contact Fiona White (fiona.hewitt@renfrewshire.gov.uk)
