In August 2021, the Scottish Government published new guidance on Supporting Transgender Young People in Schools.  The non-statutory guidance offers education authorities and schools advice on the legislative, policy and practical considerations that they may wish to make, in supporting Transgender Young People. The guidance has been subject to Equality Impact Assessment and Children’s Rights and Wellbeing Impact Assessment.
