At the recent Inspiring Scotland event Infant Mental Health – Babies in Scotland 2024, Maree Todd, Minister for Social Care, Mental Wellbeing and Sport announced a new resource that has been developed by NES, Scottish Government and other key partners as part of the work of the Children and Young People’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Joint Delivery Board.
The resource is for early years professionals and for the first time, brings together helpful resources for their role in supporting babies, infants and young children’s mental health and wellbeing. This will take you to a Sway which highlights learning materials (best practice guidance, online modules, websites, animations etc) to support your learning around infants, children and families mental health and wellbeing (MH&WB).
This resource can be used to support 0-5yrs old but also may be useful for children between the ages of 6-8 years old.

Barnardo’s Scotland have produced a film and webinar which highlights practical examples and tips that education staff can build into their everyday practice to support positive relationships with young people.
