Spring Athletics Programme

Renfrewshire Council are running a Junior athletics camp at the On-X during the Easter break for children between the ages of 9-15. Each session runs from 10am-2pm and costs £7 per day or £24 for the entire week. This camp will run Tuesday 4th- Friday 7th April and then again from Monday 10th to Thursday 13th April

The children will be encouraged to try lots of different sports and will receive specialist training from qualified coaches.

It should be a great time for all involved.

Fundraising Friday

Tomorrow will be the Bute and Jura fundraiser where the children will be raising money for their selected charities of Team Mila and Save the Children. It will be an own clothes day for £1 and there will be stalls which the children can participate in which vary in price from 20p to £1. It should be a amazing day again.

As part of the fun during tomorrow’s fundraising events, there will be the opportunity for children to get their faces painted. If you do not wish your child to get their face painted please get in touch with their teacher.

 

Social Night

The Barsail Social Night will take place this Friday, 24th March, at 7:30pm at the the Bargarran Community Center.

The tickets are £5 and are available in school at 9am and 3pm or you are able to pay at the door on the night.

It will be fantastic, their is a bar with drinks available for £2.50 and there is LIVE ENTERTAINMENT!

Alternatively, if you are unable to make it, all pupils have been given an envelope with raffle tickets in it, simply keep half the tickets, write your name/ child’s class on the other set and return them in the envelope with £5. Many GREAT prices will be won!

Reminders for next week

Only 1 more week until Easter and what a busy week it is!!

Next week the pupils in the whole school will have World of Work days, Rights Respecting School Day, Eco Day and Fundraisers so here is a break down of some of the info you may need.

Monday

The children can bring in a bag of old clothes to be recycled for the RagBag collection. House points will be given to everyone who participates
Monday and Tuesday

World of Work Days, we will have lots of visitors into the school and the children may dress as an occupation of their voice  or in their own clothes. There is will be no charge for this.
Wednesday

Rights Respecting Heroes day, the children should wear school uniform and, if possible, bring in an item for the local foodbank. P6 also have Bikeability this day and should bring bikes.
Thursday

Eco day The children should wear old clothes as they may get messy.
Friday

House Charity day. The children can wear their own clothes for £1. There will also be stalls available and games etc for a small charge. All money raised at this event will go towards p7s chosen  charities. School will finish at 2:30pm on this day.

A very busy week for everyone but we hope the children will have a fantastic time!

Parents evenings will also be held on Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th, slips will be sent home with your child stating the time you have been given.

 

Toy collection

Two of the students in the school has been working hard helping Santa to collect presents to donate to Children 1st.

The sisters are looking for Barsail pupils to help them by donating new, unwrapped gifts for children of all ages, from babies to teenagers and every little helps.

Please bring any donations to the school by Monday 12th December. Take them to p5/4 or p1.
